Background
The customer is one of India’s leading NBFC-MFIs with 8000+ field agents. They offer micro-loans to customers in low-income regions with limited or no access to financial services. Their field agents perform center or group meetings for Joint Liability Group (JLG) borrowers.
Challenges
The NBFC-MFI was looking for a system to streamline and validate daily center meetings. They were facing three key challenges.
1. Unoptimized center and branch mapping
2. Suboptimal daily route plans for field agents for daily center visits
3. Poor visibility into field agent operations
Solution
1. Branch-to-Center Mapping
Dista, our location-first field force management software, offered an intuitive map-based center location capturing and approving workflow. It uses location intelligence to optimize branch networks. It maps branches, town centers, and field agents on a map-based dashboard.
The system runs multiple simulations to find the best branch-to-center mapping by considering agent allocation, center distribution, branch catchment, distances, travel time, meeting schedules, and required visits. This ensures efficient center alignment, reducing unnecessary travel and improving field operations.
2. Validate Visit Compliance
GPS tracking helps monitor field agent locations and movements in real-time. Geotagging and timestamps digitally log their visits. Geofencing ensures agents visit the right locations, like customer homes or centers. This reduces false reporting and improves customer interactions.
3. Improve Customer Face Time
The Dista system created tight clusters of centers around branches, enabling the field agents to cover one cluster in a day. As a result, they met more customers in a day, traveled less distance, and maximized customer face time, resulting in better engagement.
